DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL EDUCATION UNIT
Medical Education Unit of an institution is constituted with an aim of training of teachers,research,development of staff,curriculum development and updating the faculty and students with
newer methodologies in teaching - learning
The Medical Education Unit for Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Science College has beeen rerconstituted as Under Dr. C.K.Mankikar(Dean) - Officer-in-Charge
CME on Blood Transfusion & Component Therapy was conducted on 28 March 2019.
Total Three MEU workshops have been conducted after last assessment i.e. 15/16 November 2018.
- MEU1 - Data Collection & Data Analysis - 11 Dec 2018
- MEU2 - Curriculam Design -15 Feb 2019
- MEU3 - Scientific Paper Writing - 02 March 2019
Total Five Faculty members have undergone revised Basic Workshop at
MCI Nodal Center, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Sawangi,
Wardha on 19th January 2019.

OBJECTIVES:
Medical Education Unit of Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical
Sciences is established with the objectives to:
- Orient the newly recruited faculty members towards the outcome and
impact of Medical Education Technology.
- Provide impetus to update the faculty (new and residing) regarding the
advances in Medical Education Technology.
- Explore and enhance the potential of faculty members towards fruitful
moulding of learners ie. to rise from beginners to forerunners of
meaningful change.
- Provide interactive conducive environment for faculty development
initiatives.
- Contribute in curriculum development, teaching-learning, generation
of learning resource materials and assessment related activities
- Promote research activities in medical education technology to
empower both trainer and trainees.
- Provide medium of guidance to convert scholarly work into
educational scholarships.
- To acquire competencies in order to achieve the final outcome of
improved health care through shaping the learners from novices to
competent health professionals imparting quality health care.
